Ariel Gorfung


Ariel, a highly experienced and successful hi-tech executive, brings over 20 years of a proven track record in capital raise, P&L leadership and management within multinational and competitive environments, in both early stage and growth stage companies. Ariel has been involved as a Co-Founder, CEO and executive with a number of successful companies, including Optibase Inc., California (went IPO NASADQ; OBAS, 1999), Magic Software (NASDAQ; MGIC), e-Sponsor, Ltd. (acquired by Intuwave UK, 2001), Neocleus (acquired by Intel, 2010). In the past 5 years. Ariel has been the managing director of Oris Investments, and a board member/chairman of a number of portfolio companies operating in the field of clean tech.

Giel Matz

President & COO

Thirty years of senior management experience, that have focused on operational and global sales organizations, strategic thinker with a great emphasis on IP driven business and value creation. Previously the managing director of the KETER PLASTICS hardware division, turned the business from a 24 Million dollar in 2011 to $300 M in 2018. Before Keter served as Chromagen's Israeli MD, Restructured and re-aligned the distribution channels of the company into four tiers, based on business volume. Gil was also involved in leading roles in Technoplast.

Shaul Yaakoby


Shaul, an automobile technology expert, owned and operated an Internal combustion engines factory specializing in reparation, renovation and improvement of a great variety of engines. The factory became known for its accomplishments in Israel and abroad. As a well as a known expert for mechanical assemblies, Shaul served as the automobile technology advisor for insurance companies, with specialty in failure analysis for automobiles, protection and theft prevention. Shaul has also been involved with numerous inventions both in the field of automobile and water purification solutions. Shaul Yaakoby has led the innovation, development and production of Aquarius’s first prototype and is now managing the process of development of a commercial grade model.

Pierre Detre

Co-Director of Aquarius Engines Research Center

Experienced Formula One engineer, R&D manager, team and project leader at: Renault Sport F1, Toyota Motorsport GmbH, Segula etc. Specializes in advanced engineering solutions for innovative projects. 
Currently, is leading the development and production of an innovative free piston engine and linear generator for industrial and automotive applications.

Gal Fridman


Gal, a highly acclaimed and successful executive specializing in global branding, distribution channels and go-to-market strategies has been responsible for brand successes of numerous leading companies. Gal was the Business Leader for STANLEY works, Keter plastic, ZAG industries and others, leading the sales and marketing operations and directing a sales force overseeing distributors and manufacturers’ representatives. During his career, Gal had on-going interactions with global distribution networks and retailers such as USA- Home Depot, WalMart, Lowe’s, EU- Aldi, Leory Merlin, B&Q and more. Gal is a 3 time TransAlp Graduate.

Liraz Ben-Ami


Liraz is our chief financial officer, with over 16 years of experience in the management and leadership of numerous financial projects in various fields, from project funding, enterprise streamlining projects, and valuation increases to financial monitoring mechanism and valuations, to mention but a few. Formerly Head of Business Modelling and Project Finance at Ernst & Young, Israel.

Michel Dassy

VP Research and Development

Michel brings many years of excellence and experience. 29 years of Engineering or Innovation Project Management (metallurgy, mining, chemical industries worldwide) BU management for 17 years. Michel has joint Aquarius Engines in 2019 to lead the R&D operations. Prior to Aquarius he served as a General Manager at PROFILE Division of PRAYON S.A. , served in various positions as Innovation Project Manager, Projects Division Manager and Project Manager at Grinding Media (MAGOTTEAUX INTERNATIONAL S.A.), also as General Manager at SLEGTEN S.A. (subsidiary of MAGOTTEAUX INTERNATIONAL S.A. and at BROYEURS SOUDRON SACRE S.A.

Dariusz Karcz

Project Manager

Experienced Senior Project Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the automotive industry directly with OEMs and Tier 1 customers. Responsible for full product and project lifecycle management from RFQ into serial production phase mainly in high volume production. Strong practical experience in area of supplier management in terms of production process improvement, quality development and auditing. Several years of experience in direct high volume production management in automotive sector. Graduated Msc from AGH Cracow with additional postgraduate studies in the field of Quality and Production Management. 

Łukasz Obłoza

13 years of development experience in the field of engines for the automotive industry. Director of Gear Development Team at BorgWarner, tier 1 manufacturer for the automotive industry. Extensive experience in the development processes of integrated systems motor, transmission, electricity, command, and electronics. A charismatic leader and an energetic man of action.

Doron Schori

VP Business Development

Over 30 years of “Hands on” experience in HW, SW with IT service companies worldwide. Specializing in identifying innovative technology, leading and facilitating strategic “Go to Market “ and M&A with the senior global management of leading SI’s such as: IBM, Accenture ,Ericsson, CGE&Y, TCS, (Tata Consulting Services), Infosys, Deloitte, Nokia Alcatel-Lucent. Military intelligence background in technology and strategy of large scale operations.

Jonathan Nassau

Product Manager

Jonathan joined Aquarius after a very successful 9 years in the aerospace industry (Elbit Systems and Rafael Advanced Defence systems) as an R&D Manager of combustion engine development. Jonathan brings demonstrated experience transferring prototype engines from development into serial production, creating new engine production lines, introducing new products to the market (NPI), and supporting customers during early-stage commercialization of engines. Jonathan will lead the Generator business unit’s first implementation and sales to selective customers. He will also oversee the company’s top priority project with telecommunications & management system providers.
